In the late 1970's, Dale became involved in fighting for human rights, from Oklahoma to California and points in between. During the AIDS Crisis, his activism expanded into fighting for patient rights to equal access to medication and treatment. Decades later, his activism became more personal after he received his own Stage-3 HIV (advanced AIDS) diagnoses on World AIDS Day 2012. Dale continues to educate and inform people about HIV/AIDS as a central Texas grassroots HIV/AIDS Advocate. In addition, Dale serves on the Austin Area Comprehensive HIV Planning Council, and is a champion of human rights causes. He strives to be the human embodiment and a positive voice of HIV/AIDS.
